wedding photography workshopdurban

i am so, so excited to be hosting my second wedding photography workshop in october!! it was a dream come true for me to host the first, and i cannot wait to do it all over again, and hopefully inspire YOU to make your dreams a reality.

i have a real passion for the wedding industry, and have loved every step of this journey. we get to work with such incredible people on a daily & weekly basis, and this truly is ‘living the dream’.

personally, i am a person who learns by example. i am self taught in photography, and don’t know all the technical jargon! i have attended a number of workshops by my peers & people who i admire & inspire me, and they have been the BEST way to learn. i didn’t go to university to study, but have a background in a few different jobs that lead me to where i am today. but i am very proud of how my business has grown, and want to share all my secrets with you so that you can do the same!!

over the two days i will be an open book. the mistakes i’ve made along the way, and what i wish i’d done differently. as well as all the good stuff!! my way of shooting is a very documentary style, remembering to tell the story of the day, rather than using a tick list to get what ‘has’ to be shot. you want your audience to feel the emotion as though they were there!
i want to teach you about pricing, contracts, making bookings & how to work with clients, my workflow & editing, and so much more! there will be two guest speakers who will tell you everything about social media, timing your posts, marketing yourself correctly, as well as how to brand yourself correctly!

you will also have time to chat amongst your peers to hear where others have fears and strengths, which is an awesome way to learn and realise you’re not alone in this journey. i will also give each person one-on-one time to give you advice on your brand and where i think you could improve, if you wish.

we will end off with a styled shoot around the area with a real life couple. i will show you how i approach the shoot, and then you’ll get time to get some awesome shots for your social media.

this workshop is aimed at photographers that own a DSLR and are wanting to take the wedding & portrait photography to the next level. a basic knowledge of the camera is a necessity, as i will be covering how to shoot a wedding and building your business, rather than how the camera works.

Testimonials from previous attendees:

Courtney Clegg- Words cannot actually express how grateful I am to Bron for sharing her insight & knowledge for the wedding photography business. Last year I attended both her Mommy & Me & Wedding Workshop. With only the basic knowledge of my camera and photography. I was planning to improve my skills for my hubby, and never thought I would be where I am today. I went in with all ears, willing to learn and try whatever was thrown at me! My goal was to eventually start photography as a career after 5 years (and after my studies) – Ha! Joke was one me! After the workshop I gained confidence I never thought I would have with photography and in myself. I started doing shoots to build up my portfolio, and 18 months later, 9 weddings in my first 12 months, and 7 to go for 2018, all I can say is that I’m neck deep in photography & couldn’t be happier!

These workshops are beyond amazing! Bron is amazing! What you learn from her is something you can’t put a price on! I you work hard and implement the things she is going to teach you, your burins will flourish and you’ll go places you never thought possible!

Wilma Towell- I had the pleasure of working with Bron as a 2nd shooter before I attended the wedding workshop already but still learned so much about the whole workflow from shooting a wedding to delivering the final product to the client. Bron was super open and honest and answered all our questions, sharing so much of her knowledge and amazing skills.

I met such a lovely bunch of photographers on the course, most of whom I’m still in touch with (some even became good friends!) , sharing advise on beautiful locations for shoots, pricing, 2nd shooting for each other etc. etc.

I would definitely recommend this workshop, whether you are just starting out or are a more experienced photographer, you will definitely learn lots and get inspired to bring out the best in  your photography.
